I have totally lost my marbles and have spent the last few hours making dedicated sound packs for various amphib/float planes. Greg Pepper's Albatross, Wozza's T-6 Floater, the Alpha Sim Arado AR196 and Bobcat Floater, Joe Binka's Widgeons, Bill Lyon's Goose and Piper Apache, the Alpha Sim Mavis, Jens B.'s F2E Felixstowe, and others. I found it odd that many of these planes did not have any water sounds when they landed on water. So, I have been using ACM to set some of the float points to have Fuselage Scrape sound settings and makind dedicated sound packs for these planes. Much much nicer. Once the server is stabilized, I will begin uploading these dedicated sound packs, along with the tweaked contact point info, for a good number of amphib/float planes.

Some of these planes came with sound packs...but I am making new ones that are more pleasing to my over-sized hi-fi loving ears. A lot of these packs are based on Lawdog's files...so, you know that they are starting with good materials. A few are based on slightly tweaked stock sound packs (C172 for example...used to create a sound pack for twin inline 4 engined floaters, such as Joe Binka's G44 Widgeon and Bill Lyon's Piper Apache floater).
