Sound set fix ?

Does anyone know where to look for tips on how to fix the sound cfg file?

I installed the exceptional Metro III/Metro 23 package by E. Adalsteinsson (original model by Mike Stone) and I noticed that the turboprop sound doesn't match the engine RPM or throttle setting, if you prefer.
When accelerating everything is fine, but when the throttle is pulled back the sound remains unchanged at high pitch. This is specially disturbing at landing, where I am more used to listen to the engine sound that to read the tach meter.
I know I could just alias the sound folder to some other AC, but this soundset is very good and would like to keep it.

Thank you,

I am downloading the package now to take a look at it. From my experience with air files and sound packs...many times, the failure for a sound set to match the throttle settings is not in the sound config file, but in the air file. There is a parameter that dictates when various levels of sound is needed, based on how close the throttle is to max power. If this setting is too low, then full rpm sounds come on too soon, if this setting is too high, full power rpm sounds do not come on at all. And depending on how quickly an engine spools up and despools can influence how quickly or slowly the sounds change based on throttle position. This plane may have a longer despool time, thus when you pull the throttle back it may take a bit before the actual engine rpms drop enough to reflect the throttle settings.

Thanks, OBIO.
I believe what you are describing is about what happens.
Despooling time seems to be long, nevertheless it looks like even after some seconds the sound doesn't come back to "low RPM" as expected.

The AFG Beech 300 does this, it spools up normally but when you cut the throttles back to land the sound stays at full throttle until your slowed down. I never could find a way to change it, and for all I know there is a good reason for it to be that way.

I took a look at the .air file with the good old "Airfile Manager" program (too bad it is no longer supported), but I couldn't find any specific entry for de-spooling time. Or is it defined by some graph?

Took a look at the plane...nice model. The sound pack sounds nice...but it's very odd. The internal sounds are much louder than the external sounds, and it should be the external sounds that are louder. The prop sound is very loud, even at low rpm. I took a look at the sound config file and it is odd in deed.

I aliased the plane to another turbo prop sound pack...and the plane exhibited normal spool up, rpm increase, despool and rpm decrease characteristics.

So, the issue is in the sound pack...not in the air file...I will take a look at the sound config over the next few days and see if I can figure it out....more files in that sound pack than I normally work with in doing CFS2 sound packs...really all I do is tweak existing sound packs into new uses.
