Willy has us delivering small arms, gold bars and other "unmarked" stuff from Deadhorse, Alaska down to South America somewhere. The pay is decent so we don't ask a lot of questions.
Here's a couple from the past couple of nights. Started out in Barrow with a Harpoon, but got a deal on the Lodestar. Now to find a few buckets of paint.....
Here is a quick Kodak of the Lockheed Lodestar flying over the Yukon in the afternoon sunlight. Thanks to Milton Shupe and the gang for the wonderful Lodestar. And thanks to Jeremy Oreskovich for the classic livery.
Well, we finally got the needed parts for the downed aircrafts, we took off from CYXT still on our course to warn southern climates. Had some rain and low clouds at takeoff, but had some clearing as we reached our cruisng alitude, and the best part the weather cleared for our approach into CYBD as we flew down the river canyon into the airport. A very nice flight!
Still heading South next stop the good old USA, meaning no offense to our Canadian neighbors. While in Canada we flew over some mean looking scenery, high mountains, steep valleys, and some neat looking rivers and lakes. As noted by our fellow pilots, "It would not be the best area to try and emergency landing unless you wanted to get your feet wet by landing in one of the water ways. At least landing in one of the rivers etc. it sure would keep your beer cold until a rescue folk arrive. hehe. CYA next time.
As usual with Flight 19 we had a good flight. So far on these flights the weather has cooperated with some fair weather, and in these mountain it sure helps! Well, we are in SEA and will be taking some R&R here for a short period. In question of the WAL plane, we lost our Electrial power for a short time, and then bingo it came back on, but it was a concern on the whole flight, so we need to get this thing checked out. Glad for the rest.
Here we are again! A good flight from KPVU (Provo, Ut.) to KASE (Aspen, Co.), and very good weather on our approcach and landing. After landing parking became a problem, question, where to park. lol. Any way party time and we can do some of that downhill stuff on two or one slats of wood or figerglass. Not for this guy! Going to get some food and take a nap! hehe.
