This Bf109C is shown dressed as in 1939 after it's transfer from the Condor Legion to the Spanish when the Germans brought in newer models to replace them.

Yeah, right after the other thirty projects I have backlogged away! :salute:

The 109 model by Gerard and Luca is a fine work. Unfortunately, because of the way it has been assembled, it's also very difficult to modify - particularly if we're talking about a major part such as reshaping the nose, fuselage, or wings. Reworking the canopy was enough misery for me. I plan no further work on this model.

What we need is for some enterprising and energetic person (with the requisite passion and patience for German aircraft) to build a series of early-model 109s. That won't fix any issues with the Emil but at least it will give us something new to gripe about. :icon_lol:
 
OK, I didn't really think you'd be tempted! I know it's a very complex model in any case.
I agree about the new model idea - despite Maj. Magee's first-rate skin, that old ex-CFS1 effort of Corrado's is just about played out. I remember it was one of my very favourites in CFS1!
The good bit about a new model is that at a pinch, it could be designed to accept the existing 109e cockpit, although I don't know quite how accurate that would be. Certainly the overall feel would be perfect.
 
And the D's were used in the early stages of WWII i believe. Its a shame that the tailplane struts are absent,a prominant feature of the early 109,s But still a very good addition for CFS3.

Hi Lewis, Well i am afraid all is not well on the cfs3 front, While away at sea two days before xmas my laptop refused to boot, it seems all my cfs3 stuff/gmax stuff is gone,a mate had my laptop for a couple of days trying to rescue stuff from the hard drive,and put a lot of stuff onto dvds for me,i thought great, but when i open the folders they are empty,I am trying to get in touch with Sony, its a £900 Sony Vio,18 months old,What a heap of Sh*t:banghead: I shall post an update soon, My gmax days may be over, Anyway Hope you and yours had a good one, and a happy new year to one and all.
 
Yeah, I just wish the tail texture was mapped at the same resolution as the rest of the skin. There was only just so much I could do with it with the pixels available.
