Spawning on water

I have a few different models that include floats, the a2a cub mainly, and have been dying to get some seaplane action. I don't know how to spawn on water, preferably next to a dock. I have the Tongass Fjords X package. Any help is appreciated.

I can't get to it right now, but I think the A2A Cub manual has a link to a document on Microsoft's site with the name and location of all water runways in FSX. It won't have the add-on locations, but it is a good start. I doubt if there any any docks in FS default world but I could be wrong. There was a series of add on seaplane bases done if I remember right by MoCat called Land's End Seaplanes that is free and very well done.

Yep, just to add to what Glenn has said, the MoCat Series as a whole is outstanding work with tons of custom designed buildings and a host of eye candy objects that will keep you entertained. . .definitely should get that.

As for spawning next to a dock. . .probably not, again, as Glenn said, unless it's a custom scenery enhancement with an AFCAD that indicates specific parking next to a dock, then at best, you'll be in the water, near the shore and you can slew or taxi to a dock, if there happens to be one.

Having said all that, of course we allow spawning next to docks in Tongass X. Just load up a flight at any of the seaports and choose one of the dock positions for a start point. They should be clearly marked as such.

Bill, Roger, perfect suggestion. A few of Mocat's docks don't work very well. You load right into a building. I've never had that happen in Tongass.
