This is a repaint only for the Aeroplane Heaven/Justflight Spitfire. This particular Spitfire Mk.IX, MK923, has an amazing history behind it. Being built in 1944 it saw service in WWII with 126 Squadron and participated in the D-Day invasion. After the war the aircraft went on to serve in the RNAF and then the Royal Belgian AF. The aircraft was flown in the movie The Longest Day in 1961. MK923 was purchased by actor Cliff Robertson in 1963 and brought to the US, painted in the markings it...
