Spitfire Mk Vc for MAW

As promised...

Admittedly there is a slight inaccuracy in that we were obliged to use the Vb model for most of these, as 4 cannon Spitfires were extremely rare indeed. (Needless to say, if someone can rework the model to modify the wing blisters and add the cannon stubs, we'll do the rest!) We have included two 4-gun aircraft, but they are the only ones we could find convincing photos of. All these are based on photographs rather than profiles, as once again, we've found a number of profiles to be wildly inaccurate.

There's a bit of something for everybody, and despite appearances to the contrary, all were operational before the war ended.

Correction, 23, although if you want to be difficult, there's one that doesn't really belong... Uploading now.

MAW F. and LF. MkIXs next, I suppose...

Wonderful work but the bare metal one in the second screenie is especially lovely!!

Thank you! It's all Rene's work, fiddling with the m3d.

The South African Air Force used 3 of these, designated SHF. Mk IXc, in Egypt. They carried no markings other than serials and were operated jointly by Nos. 10 and 44 Squadrons in Egypt. Needless to say, they were armed although the one in the foreground appears to have been stripped in these photos.
