Spitfire! (x3)

Bomber_12th

SOH-CM-2025
A nice photo flight out of Goodwood, out near to Isle of Wight, and back. Featuring a Mk.I, Mk.IX, and Mk.XIV.

I like the Mk.I touchdown particularly; a fine 3-pointer. Obviously not Panther at the controls!

John one of these days I'm going to convince you to take one of these photo flight in MP with me. We could fly out of Paine field WA and take a spin in any of the HFF or FHC aircraft. All of which you love. F6F, F8F, F7F, spit mk V(I think), P-51D or C. You've done both mustangs already I believe. Umpapa epops and impatient virgin. Great shots.

Superb shots, John. Wish I could land my Spitfires from the spot view in the front like that...

I have a 1/24th scale model of the Mk.14E with the same markings as you have depicted on the one in your screenshot. I'm going to have to break down and acquire a virtual Mk.IX tho... it's the only model I DON'T have in FS.

Thanks guys! I have a lot of fun putting these flights together (playing all the roles) and trying to assemble some realistic screenshots from them that might/hopefully resemble real world air-to-air photography. For those wondering about the developers of the Spitfires in these shots, the Mk.I is by A2A Simulations, and both the Mk.IX and the Mk.XIV are by RealAir Simulations. The three I feature have some of my absolute favorite paint schemes for these particular models.

And thanks for the compliments on the Mk.I landing! Landing the early Spitfires is such a beautiful thing - three-pointers are definitely their thing.

More Allied Fighters

Rather than start another thread, here is another set of screenshots from another recent formation flight, this time flying over Idaho, with Butch Schroeder's F-6D and Dan Friedkin's P-47G.

A little recon with an escort...

One of these days Rick... ; ) Last time I tried multiplayer flying (years ago) some internet/server related settings were not correct on my end, and as soon as I would join, others would get kicked out, so I've never messed with it since, I'm afraid. It may be just fine now, I don't know.

I've only been doing MP for about 1 year...and was pretty apprehensive about it as well...but I could get you setup. Been flying primarily with a retired F4 phantom driver and an active KC135 driver...it's been a real blast. I've been wanting to recreate a heritage flight for a while. I'm sure we could arrange it, if you are interested ;)
