They're a pretty impressive sight and I've been lucky enough to see them in several places. The most interesting time was after landing on a drop zone at Fort Lewis, one An-124 flew over on final to McChord AFB. A little later, two Sukhoi fighters flew over. I could only guess that perhaps they were going to some USAF exercise.

Having considered them an OPFOR aircraft throughout the Cold War, I always do a second take whenever I see one.

They are regular visitors here in Ottawa. You usually hear them about an hour before you see them. (Only a "slight" exaggeration)
