A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FS 2004 Military skins - World War II

Description: This package contains alternative textures form the AH/Justfight Spitfire Mk.Ia. The textures depict The Spitfire N3250 flown by Pilot Officer Allan Wright of 92 Squadron, RAF Croydon, United Kingdom, late May/early June 1940. The unit retained their pre-war GR unit code, until the switch was made to QJ in May/June 1940. The aircraft had the standard "day/night" bottom wing surfaces while the rest of the bottom surfaces was aluminium. During WWII Allan Wright was credited 11 confirmed kills.

I wish to thank the guys from Aeroplane Heaven for making this very nice model, which was the perfect canvas for my repaints. And I wish to thank JustFlight for making a free demo from this model available at their site. And last but definitely not least, Martin Wright for his simple but indispensable graphic tools, as without his dtx1 bitmap manipulator these textures simply wouldn't be there.

Enjoy,Huub

Another of Allan Wright's 92 Sqn mounts was R6596,again coded "S".
All of his 11 confirmed on Mk.1's(during the Battle of Britain)were shared between 3 airframes(all coded "S"),N3250 and R6596 being two of the three.

Nice work Huub, good to see some of 92's Spit 1's getting some love.

I'm glad you like them. I always thought the model from the AH Spitfire looked real nice, but thought the textures didn't do the models any justice. I have started with the pre-war Spitfires and are now done with the Battle for France textures. Next ones will be Battle of Britain period repaints. Including some for the not very successful Mk.Ib version.

Cheers,
Huub

Thanks Huub, these are beautiful skins, I see you just added DW-K. These even look nice on Scrub's port of this plane to FSX/P3D, although I'm using them as an excuse to dip into FS9 again.
