Square trees fix?

I can't remember what the fix was for square trees - the stock trees (I assume) don't apply the alpha layer until you're very close, which means they appear as rectangular objects as they appear on the landscape.

Does anybody know ther fix, assuming there is one? Please don't ask what scenery I'm using, because it's all a bit complicated... But Ankor's latest shaders package.
 
Three areas to check.

Duplicate DDS texture files
Scenery detail setting too low
Composite Budget ring distances
 
Scenery is on 5s, so it'll be something else... I suspect the budget rings. Thanks!
 
The scenery sheet size entries in scenerysheet01.xml didn't correspond to the size of the scenery sheet being used. All fixed.
