This past weekend I installed two SSD drives in my desktop PC (Crucial drives, 240 & 480). I put the OS, Win7 Ultimate 64, on the 240 gb drive, and am reserving the larger drive for FSX and P3DV2. FSX installed easily, but I wasn't able to activate P3DV2. I suppose the installation of the new hard drives made that impossible. I am waiting for a reply from Support at Lockheed. I read in their forums that this would happen, so I hope they'll send me new activation codes.
But I must say the increased speed is amazing! Installation was simple, and I am so glad I made the decision to spend the money. It was well worth it!
The ONLY problem I have has to do with Bios settings. I have other conventional hard drives that have programs on them, and I have to go into the Bios on startup to select which drives to boot. The problem is the settings are not being saved, even though I hit F-10 and exit. Not a big deal, and I'm sure I will find the solution.
