starting the Baffin

I never flew the Blackburn Baffin from Britsim till last nite. I discovered if once you shut down the engine it will not restart with ctrl+e. The prop turns over very slowly but won't catch. Since there are no mag switches or throttle in the 2d panel(it has no VC,) I figure there is something in the aircraft config file that you can change to make the engine start like other FS9 planes.
I tried using my CH throttle quad and cracking open the throttle with mixture full rich but it doesn't make the engine start ,although you can shut down the engine by cutting the mixture with the throttle quad.
It's no big deal as the engine is always running when you start but I like to start the engine from a cold ,dark cockpit.

ouick update

Just a quick update,I tried the Baffin skins and new sound files from Brit Sim which also include a new config file ,but althought the plane will start it vibrates like crazy on the ground. I guess the contact points must be off,or something like that, so I reinstalled the stock Baffin that won't start.

If everything else worked with the new cfg I would simply use the CP section from the old one in the new one and see what you get.

whats rhe CP section?

I'am not sure what you mean by CP section,is it part of the config file? It was the new config that made the Baffin shake.

nevermind

nevermind, I figured out you mean the contact points ,since I don't know how to put that in the new config,I better just forget it and live with the plane not starting, thanks for your advice.I'll just leave it running when I first load it and go from there.

Hurricane3, drop me your email address in a PM and I'll send you a tweaked config file with the original contact points - should give you the best of both worlds.
