Could someone please explain to me how to load this great project correctly?

One of the instructions is to place the Texture folder(donot un-zip) into the Terrains Folder.

There is a Texture file opened in the project folder but do I add it to the Effects file?

Have a re-read. Place the Textures folder in your Assets folder. The shaders are optional.
