I make my own statics with SAMM (Static Aircraft Model Maker). The models are then collected in a library and you can put them in a scenery using ADE. Has a learning curve. There are existing libraries, even here at the SOH.
I know Simviation a lot of times have static aircraft models for scenery placement in their misc section. You can do it that way and add it to your scenery via ADE and MCX. Or you can use P3D's simdirector to create a scenario with static in game aircraft (including your won addon aircraft if you wish) that you can place where and how you want to for that particular scenario and not mess with having to use ADE or MCX to make and place the aircraft. Granted that's not permanent, but sometimes it's easier depending on what you're doing it for.
