Still a lot of work but....

Looking great, Cees!

Just a note...the Canadian reg-number under the tail can be removed. It was sold to Peter Monk last year and has been based in the UK (Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar) now for over a year, registered as G-CIPB (and in the UK the reg-number doesn't have to be applied). It should hopefully be flying again soon (having not flown since 2010) - the engine had to be sent out for overhaul and some other airframe/systems maintenance/restoration performed.

I just happened to dig-out a repaint of the same aircraft that I did for the A2A model way back in 2006 (still available at Avsim - 109ewhite14.zip).

Hi John,
I searched for it and never found it! So I thought I'll do it myself.

Cees

I can ditch my my effort, knowing this.

:)

Please don't!! My effort's really old, and it clearly shows.

BTW, I haven't seen any more recent photos of the aircraft, but this one was taken back in January, not too long after it arrived in the UK, inside the Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar. As I mentioned, it hasn't flown for a number of years (due to several factors), but hopefully it might again in the new year. (The former Ed Russell/Russell Group Spitfire was also sold to Peter Monk a few years back (though was severely damaged in a post-takeoff crash earlier this year at Biggin Hill), and the former Russell Group Hawker Hurricane was sold to a flying warbird group/collection in Australia, where it has been undergoing deep maintenance and restoration and should be flying again in 2016, sporting a new and historic (with Australian ties) paint scheme).

Oops, that Bf109 must feel terrible, surrounded by all these Spitfires :biggrin-new:

Cheers,
Huub
