A good day to everybody! :wavey:

how are ya'll doing these days? I was out of the country for 10 days, I just got back from a wonderful trip to Paris with me sweetiepie. I've never been to Paris in my life and it's a magnificent city to visit.

Just before I left on August 16th, I remember reading the upload restoration process was in its final phases. The first thing I did today was dialing in and trying to catch up with some great downloads I was unable to get since the server switch.

I did update all of the IP addresses as suggested in my Firefox browser and in my firewall. In fact, I can open all SOH's pages without any problem.

Unfortunately, as of date, I am still unable downloading Uncletgt's Italian Navy repaints, Dvslats' Tsili-Tsili stock scenery replacement and Morton's KW Seafury updated repaints 1 & 2. While it seems that all uploads from August 1st onwards are downloadable, that is from Robert John's GSL ETO landmarks on, all files uploaded before that date are not there.

I suspect that anywhere there's a missing thumbnail, the download is still unavailable.

I go to "Latest CFS Uploads" and select "Latest Uploads for CFS2". I tried downloading from the library by selecting all downloads of the above members, but the result is exactly the same with the usual message:

"
Not Found

The requested URL /soh_ftp/cfs2-skins/mk_KW_SeaFury_pack1.zip was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

Did anyone else report such problem? Is there some communication from SOH staff I missed while I was away?

Thank you!
KH :ernae:

KH,

The librarian is still getting many of the files on line as I understand it. I'm surprised that the Italian ships of Uncletgt are not available. I'll check into it.

Kelticheart if you want send me your E-mail by PM and I will send them to you until you are able solve this problem.

1: A great choice for a trip Stefano. I remember Paris as a walking city....that is when I wasn't standing with my jaw dropped.
2: When do we get to see the piccies?!
3: I can't download UncleTgt's Italian ships either. Luckily I already have them, so if you want them sent by email let me know.

Ah, ah, ah, ah!!!!

That's a story for grownups! Flightsimmers are still too young.....:d

At any rate, it would be a more seeming e-mail subject rather than a forum thread. My address is still the same, send me a PM if you changed yours.

I have sad news on that front, as this last Friday I lost the memory card of my digital camera. Over 1,200 pictures covering the entire summer and spring. I am still
:banghead: and :crybaby:........

They included a visit to the Warbird Hall at the Air & Space museum of historic Le Bourget airport in Paris. A Spitfire MkXVI, a P-51D, a P-47D, a Dewoitine D-520, a FW190A-8 painted in Priller's livery, the last surviving Normandie-Niemen Yak-3, a B-26 Marauder and a C-47.

All photographed with the intention to post them here.....

I can't believe how dumb I am sometimes and those darn' cards are so bloody small! What am I saying, the Nikon Coolpix I use is too small and I am always risking to drop it or leave it somewhere!!!! Oh, those good-ole heavy 35mm reflex cameras of times past, they were so cumbersome ya couldn't loose them, even if you wanted to!

Thank you for your kind offer, Jagdflieger just informed me he asked Uncletgt's to re-upload the Italian Navy repaints again. We should see them in the download queue soon.

Cheers!

Well then, you will both just have to go back to Paris and take some more photos, and this time take a day trip to Monet's garden at Giverny. Spring and Autumn are great times to visit, and I'm sure your sweetie will pick up a few gardening ideas for you to implement!

Kelti;
I know that this is a older post, but as to the CoolPix. I bought one of those neckchains for that camera and carry it around my neck. That way I stand a less chance(?) of losing it.
