I get a box that says my computer does not have enough memory to load fs9 and to run disk clean and try again. What does this mean??? I ran fs9 the other day and it was fine. I still have 54gig left on my C drive.. Anyone have any advice?
I'm not sure what to do there because I don't understand German.
. . . .and if I understood German, that would probably be a very handy utility, but since I don't. . .it's pretty useless.Search for blank texture folders with FlusiFix -> http://www.wolfgang-picheta.de/

Sorry, right hand on the site is a UK flag for english users.
Did you type MSCONFIG in Start/Run box and see what's running at startup?
Fnerg, how much ram does your computer have? And have you looked to see what you have running in the background?

I don´t think so, it helps me to find 10 blank texture folders and eliminated my OOM error´s.
Each time I've gotten the "out of memory" error box in FS9 I've followed LPXO's suggestion and removed recent scenery add-ons. That solved the problem.I get an out of memory warning occasionally when the sim's been running for a while. It's a bug in an addon scenery pack somewhere that gradually eats up your available RAM - ie a memory leak. (FS9 pre SP1 had the same issue in default scenery in the USA). I daresay if I uninstalled all the addon scenery I've added over the last 3 months or so I'd be able to find it.
It's possible you have a system issue but my money would be on it being the same thing - where does your default flight start? Addon scenery? Try uninstalling all addon scenery by commenting it all out of the scenery config then try starting the sim. If that works, add the sceneries one at a time and test.
