Strange thing happened with FSX-SE

Having just resurrected FSX-SE a few weeks ago and getting all my settings right everything was running fine each time I flew in the sim. However today after installing 4 A2A aircraft I suddenly for some reason it had been reset to default settings. Not sure what caused the a quick run of the settings I got things back to my original settings. All is ok for now but still wondering what the cause was.

And before you Windows expert haters begin, I am running W10 Pro and have full control of my updates. Any Windows bashing will see the thread closed.

I had a similar thing happen when I installed the freeware Il-76. Somehow auto rudder got selected in my realism settings. Don't know if anything else got changed, if it did it's probably something I never use, but auto rudder was pretty obvious. I wonder why it happens? (I'm in FSX Gold BTW.)
