Stuart Greens Fokker Dvii

Just playing around this weekend and adapted the paint template for the Rise of Flight Fokker Dvii to Stuart Greens Fokker. It of course has the prop issue with the cloud and trees. And of course none of the guages will work.

How can I fix the prop and guages? I tried using the prop texture from another plane, it looks better, but still has the transparency issue.

Also, what can I do about the guages? I used another panel folder from another plane, just to keep FSX crashing from the original panel folder.

Here is what I have done so far. It still needs more work, but not going any further if the above issues can't be fixed. :salute:

prop cant be fixed, thats a side effect of fs9 planes :(

as for the gauges ... no idea!

It can be done, I downloaded the conversion to FSX from somewhere but have been unable to find it again to give you a link or a name. Here is a shot of it in my Prepar3D, which is a sort of FSX clone but more stable.

PM me with an email address and I will zip up the panel and prop bitmap for you. swap them out and that should do it.

PS your paint looks really good, hope to be able to download it eventually

Thanks for the offer Norab. I found it here at the Outhouse. It was uploaded by Cazzie. Here is where I am at so far with it. The VC is nice, but I want to try to update the textures in the VC. Thanks for the pics Huub!

I want to see if their templates will work on Stuarts Albatross and Spad next.

Ryan, you can get the original plane here: http://homepages.domicilium.com/peveril/hangar/planes/Fokker.htm Just download the FS9 version.

The link for the update is here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=3&id=365 Just replace the original files with these new ones.

The textures from ROF do not fit. I am adapting the ROF template to fit Stuart Greens plane. I decided to do adapt their template and not just each individual skin. While they look great in ROF, the textures are too dark, IMO, for FSX. I will have to get permission from the folks at ROF before I can upload anything.

Now working on adapting the Rise of Flight paint template to fit Stuart Greens Albatross. Just wish the prop issue and windshield was fixed.
