Stuart Green's Pfalz DIIIA

Has anyone done a conversion of this plane to CFS2? Huub Vink is doing some amazing skins for this plane......check out his threads in the Fs2004 forum. The sharpest WW1 plane I have seen hands down.

I converted it some time back using MDLC. It converts fine although I've never mastered the animations so the control surfaces are stuck.

I agree that Huub's new skins are great. If you use Martin Wright's utility and convert them to DXT1 they work just fine.

Thanks guys. I think I am going to have to send Stuart an e-mail inquiring about a CFS2 version of the plane or permission to convert to CFS2.

Stuart has always been a supporter of CFS 2 and has modeled some fine planes for the senior sim. I'll bet he'd help if contacted.

I don't think Stuart will object. I have recently recieved his permission to convert his FS9 models in FSX. He likes the fact we are still enjoying his great models.

When you download my textures, please be aware the main textures (fuselage and wings) are in 32 bits format which can not be used in CFS2.
The best result you will get when you convert them to dtx3 format. Several textures has a alpha layer to make things transparant. In the zip files which I have uploaded these are already in dtx3 format.

Cheers,
Huub

I converted it. I used the airfile from the Alpha (Combat Aces) CFS2 DIII, I had too punk up the roll rate a little though. Flys just fine. Pilot's head moves and rocker valves work! Control surfaces don't however. Not a big deal really for such a superb looking plane. I just installed all Huub Vink's new paints and they look great.

Good work Stony and thanks Huub for all of these great new skins and the info on how to convert them to the Senior Sim.
