Stupid hardware question on multicore/multithreaded OFF3

Hi,

Sorry, but I'm sure this simple question has been answered, but is a multi-core computer going to be advantageous in OFF3? Is OFF multithreaded???

I searched the forum and only found a thread in which people were flexing their virtual muscle with their gaming rig. This is not my intention here.

I currently have different cores tasked with running my joystick and TIR4, and it appears to help with FPS somewhat. I really hope to max out all my cpus for a change.

No it will not take benefit of multiple CPU cores. CFS3 is the main engine and that was written some years ago.

I also have a Quad, but only because, because at the time of ordering my store bought rig in XP ( eyes ) it was a choice, between the Quad at 2.4Ghtz or a Duo at 1.7
There are NO flight simulations ( outside of the military) that require anything more intense than a Duo :kilroy:
