Super Cub Ultra Canada Goose

SOH-CM-2025
While Wozza is off working out the remaining xml for the Messerschmitt Bf-109K, I've been doing some paint schemes for the upcoming Super Cub Ultra (for more info http://www.flight-replicas.com/wip_Super_Cub_Ultra.htm ). Just thought I'd share this one, a Canada Goose scheme, as not only is it a sim model paint scheme, but is presently being applied to a real aircraft, a Zenair CH-750 (with small changes for the different aircraft shapes). CH-750 came first, the scheme being designed for it, but thought I'd try it on the Super Cub, too. :)

Great job Mike. The WIP shots of the Ultra look great. I've enjoyed the heck out of my Super Cub and so the ultra will be a welcome addition. . .great job.:salute:

Thanks, guys. That Goose scheme is the first time I create a paint scheme that will be applied a real aircraft (well, actually the second, as I did the scheme for my Challenger ultralight, many moons ago, but this is different), and so I'm looking forward to seeing the real thing!

And while we're at it, here's a couple more of the paint schemes being developed for the SC Ultra, one derived from a Backcountry example and the other borrowed from the Danish Air Transport airline.

Everything's still a WIP, needless to say. :)

This may be a dumb question, but what is the difference between this Supercub Ultra and your previous supercub package?

The aircraft itself has just about the ultimate in power, at 210 hp, plus the incredible flying characteristics of the Backcountry-style wing with it's vastly increased flap and aileron areas, plus the leading edge slats which enable some truly remarkable flying at slow speed, much better than the Extreme Super Cubs of the previous package. You can fly this at an angle-of-attack like no other, almost like having a power-to-weight ratio greater than 1.

Plus, if you check out the info page at Flight Replicas, there will be cargo and camping variants, full tie-down and storage options, and more.

Yeah....been very very quite of the development progress.
Though I had read somewhere that Mike stopped with that project due to piracy.

Hopefully he will complete this master Cub...been waiting for it since he posted the first wip shot.
(It would be a shame to have another great dev being brought down by "pirates". )

Cheers.
Hank
