This folder contains a repaint for the Spitfire Mk. IX by FlyingIron, in the colors of Spitfire IX MH526 LO-D of No.602 Squadron, one of the aircraft flown by Pierre Clostermann. Clostermann was a diplomats son, born in Brazil, and gained his private pilots licence in 1937. At the outbreak of the war, his application for service was refused, so he travelled to California and studied at CalTech.
