Andrew,

Thank you very much for this handiwork, I look forward to flying it as I settle back in from a long journey! :wiggle:

AcWai,

Why do the Propeller RPMs drop when the Spitfire is stalled? I thought that Mk 14s had a constant speed prop.

Browncoat,

I did not pay attention to stall. Do you know which aircraft has a constant RPM at stall and I will take a look at that airfile.

Howdy Andrew,

I have seen this on other aircraft too, such as Cryingtoto's Seafire. I dunno if it is an airfile issue or a Windows 10 issue, but it appears that propeller RPMs are tied to airspeed. Below a certain point, the prop RPMs fall off if you are too slow or better yet the RPMs never get to where they should be for max-takeoff power. They also exceed their max limits if you enter a dive. That's not completely uncharacteristic for some aircraft, but odd for late war aircraft with constant speed props.

Attached is a copy of Jay McDaniel's airfile that he built for your V1 P-51. It works well in your v2 P-51, which that doesn't have this odd prop behavior.

I look forward to learning what you find out.

I don't know what is the issue here. May be Kurt, Allen or someone can answer your question.

Here is picture of the airplane at stall, the RPM is still 3200.

Howdy Andrew,

Are you running Windows 10, and are you running auto mixture?

I checked auto-mixture on, and the issue seems to have resolved it self.

Browncoat,

Yes. I am running in Widows 10 with auto mixture.

I just noticed that the pilot's hand is outside the fuselage. I will upload a new version to correct that. I hoped you guys don't mind downloading it again.

Andrew,

Many thanks for this upgraded version, and I did remove the older ones (2.1, 2.2, and a 2012 version) from the library, as requested.
