It's been a while since I went anywhere in the Boeing Stratoliner, so I figured to take it out for a bit. After mucking about Rochford and the Cantina, I taxied to the active and took off. I did get a bit of a treetop in the oil coolers on takeoff as I forgot to not take off fully loaded at Rochford....
 
First stop as across the channel at Oostende Belgium. As it was just a quick pick up, I didn't even shut the engines down. Although I did end up getting behind an Aeroflot Antonov. Darn kerosine fumes..

I left Oostende with the idea of heading to Templehof at Berlin, but got a better idea and diverted to Paris. The French have much better dancing girls anyway. Once I got to Le Bourget, they had me park at the end of parking line. No respect at all.

It's a Breguet 763 Deux-Ponts (2 Decks) Provence - military version was called the Sahara. First flew in 1949, having been developed during the Occupation. Air France operated 12 which all covered routes to French colonies in North Africa. Air Algerie had a few, but other nations didn't exactly queue up to buy them...

The last of the Saharas was retired in 1972 (not sure if it was operated by a Punishment Squadron). Can't remember if it was nicknamed Le Bossu, but the French love them: you know, Quasimodo, Jean de Florette, etc. :icon_lol:
