Greetings, all
Well, only now I begin to realize what we are up against....
...and this was just the positioning flight EKCH-EHAM. This is quite another game than to hit the autopilot button, sit back and relax. Still, it went OK especially when you consider that this was my 2nd flight in a propliner and my first in the DC6B I intend to fly - and on top of that, EHAM showed 16kts wind and a little gusty!
For info: I loaded 25% fuel = 8280 lbs -> TOW 82080.
The fuel planner suggested 6760, but in the end I landed with 3649 lbs on board, thus I spent somewhat more for the actual flight, namely 4631 in stead of around 3600. This means that I'll have to use that calculator "cum grano salis", with a grain of salt.
Still, I'm a happy camper so far.
Jock, get that boat ashore, we got work to do!!!
