Beat (Isra) Schaffner has completed the v2.0 update to his Mirage IIIS. This version includes many updates as well as an early IIIS in bare metal before the mid-life upgrades. There are ten external configuations (including JATO) and three texture sets.

He has also completed his Mirage IIIRS with four textures sets and five external configurations.

Also using components from the early version IIIS and the radarless IIIRS cockpit Isra has also made a new Mirage IIICJ with the early Atar 9B engine, Israel Air Force markings, and IAF weapons.

Follow the links above for images and download from here.

Excellent news, Frank! Thanks for sharing. On the download site, you get the Mirage IIIS file whatever version you want to download, so when you want to download the –CJ or –RS, you still get the –S. Am I doing something wrong?

WHere is the download link on that page? I can only see an announcement with the Mirage RS?

Chhers and have a good Sunday!

Try again, I just fixed them. I normally don't like to host such big files so I use a random link generator to pull from one of four places but having three on the same page seemed to be causing problems. So I have hardwired the links to still spread the load. They all work now.

Anyway, please try again. And you may need to refresh the page if you had already been there. Refreshing probably would have made the random generated links work as well but it's no longer an issue.

Thank you

Works seemless now
And the same FSX fixes (textures) still work :salute:

I thought there had been an earlier thread about porting this Mirage over to FSX? Perhaps I saw a mirage after all?

I tried it in FSX but the canopy glass was grey and I could not see through it. The exterior looked OK. In some FS9 planes you can solve this problem by replacing some textures, but I do not know which textures cause the problem, let alone whether or how they can be replaced. I emailed Isra about it and hope he is willing to consider modifications that will allow the plane to fly in FSX, even if not all features may be available.

What can I say....!?
This Bird was designed for FS9 only, it will never work in FSX. Years ago I missed the moment to flip over to FSX, the reason I got stuck with FS9....
A point was also that my Donation Button was clicked about 5 times in the past years, an other reason I was not really motivated to move over to FSX.

The only thing you can do to fix the Problem with the Canopy is downloading this textures here: http://www.opus2.ch/textures for FSX.zip
But even then, you will have other Problems in the VC, and they are not fixable.

I am very sorry I can not help more for the moment....
