Obviously one of the earlier variants. They intend to go right through to the G and H models ( assuming they don't run out of steam ).

I'm really happy to see that it will be a top-tier addon maker who will provide such a legendary aircraft.
However, I'm really fed up with these ultra-early-I-bought-a-3D-model-yesterday-and-next-year-I'll-start-the-textures previews...
If they don't have anything to show, they just shouldn't show anything.

I want to see how the modeled the CRM-114.

They are modeling the whole upper flight deck, but no hints as to the level of detail or functionality so far. I know that Just Flight left out the rear three positions in the Vulcan because the potential increase in sales wasn't enough to cover the development costs. No doubt the same will hold true for the B-52s. However, it would be nice if there was a CRM-114, or something similar. Perhaps one that would come up with codes for random flight plans, which you then had to follow to complete a task. I think FS2024 will be full of such possibilities - though given Microsoft's policies, there won't be 'toe to toe nuclear combat with the Rooskies'.

They better model it with Major "King" Kong at the wheel! Got to have the cowboy hat on! :)

Thanks Paul ! WOW!! I can't even begin to comprehend how much vertexes make up for this spectacular VC.... half a million ?.. One million ?... Two ?....

I suppose many of you here today may have never heard of BAO's "Aircraft Factory" but that's what it all began with. A very simple CAD program created by the Bruce Artwick Organisation in the early 90's that made it possible to create your own FS aircraft model. Can't remember the vertexes anymore but i'll never forget the polygon limit : a whopping 500 ! Mind you, that goes for the whole external model ! (no VC yet, not even as a blip on the horizon..) I figure the trim wheel or one of the rudder pedals we see here may already surpass 500 poly's...

Just to slightly touch on the fact how far we've come in those 30+ years of FS aircraft modeling. A looong and winding polygon road !!

( slightly dissapointed that the rubber segments of the O2 hose connection are not modelled.... that's just a clean tube, only 2000 poly's... :cautious: :D)

Amazing ! That's what it is !

That's a multi million triangles there but most likely not the mesh you'll see in FS. That's the hi poli mesh used to bake all that nity gritty curvature around the edges to a normals map.
I would suppose the low poli model will well be in the half million poli range though.

@ Bushponder, "They better model it with Major "King" Kong".... and James Earl Jones .... and that little survival kit lying somewhere on that lower center console, just stirring the pot fellas :costumed-smiley-034
