• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

SWS Van's 14 update problem

SimWorks Studios/SWS announced an update for their Van's 14 aircraft, which can be downloaded via your own account, version 20240820.
After the installation, however, I noticed that the tablet, for example, was not working. It can be opened, but shows a black surface.
Can anyone confirm the problem?

I followed your advice and successfully installed Sky4Sim, but to no avail. The RV14 tablet remains dark, no display.
Simmconnect Status: checked green
Server Status: checked green
The 3 buttons at the top of the tablet are not working, too.

Any other advice?

Additional information:
My problem is the tablet built into the RV 14.
The Sky4Sim tablet from the taskbar works.
 
I also got the RV-14 update with the new tablet display, and it's not working for me either. But I don't think the RV-14's tablet
is active yet. From the RV-14's version history:

  • Added tablet case
  • Added tablet in anticipation for SWS tablet add-on
I assume "in anticipation for SWS tablet add-on" means the tablet will get activated in a future update. I also didn't see any mention
of the tablet in the manual that came with the update, so again I assume that means the tablet is still a work in progress.
