SWS Van's RV-14 Set Released

Yeah, I'll wait for it to show up at Orbx as well, but I've been looking forward to this release. Thanks for the heads up. :)

It's live on OrbX.

Hmm, $15.81 US (with Paypal currency conversion from 14.99E) direct from SWS, or $19.67 US from OrbX. How much are simple updates worth to me? ;-)

They're worth that to me. That's less than US $4, and I spend more on lunch most days. That's covered if I come home and make a sandwich, and all my current payware is still in one location.

V 1.1.0 is out. Change list:

Fixed floating strobe light behind rudder.
Corrections to the electrical system.
Fixed ALT FIELD circuit breaker.
Deactivated SPARE 1 breaker.
Fixed SPARE 2 circuit breaker that turned off the Attitude indicator.
Fixed unhideable pilot.
Connected ESI500 to GTN750.
Fixed INOP IAS/FLC button on autopilot
Tied autopilot altimetre to left G3X screen.
Fixed G3X not dimming.
Fixed AI aircraft height on ground.
Code cleanups.

both are very good. I like steam gauges so I have kept the free RV
The SWS RV has more features to it - breakers that can be turned on and off, a working sunshade, and the extry avionics - but in all other regards they compare pretty well.
If you want to save your money and stay with the freeware I don't think it's a bad choice - but the SWS RV isn't expensive

If you're comfortable with the G3000, then you can handle this one. Everything works as it should, and the attention to detail is ridiculous. On top of the glare shield, there are what look like a couple of vent outlets. But raise the canopy and you see that underneath are a couple of large PC fans. Apply battery power and the fans spool up! The only thing (to me) that would improve the model would be for the cargo to be dynamic with weight like the Kodiak, but I'm happy with my purchase.

Update!

(I gotta say something before the quote or the forum fusses...)

I'm usually not into these types of airplanes, but reading the comments, this is becoming harder for me to resist...

Just be careful at low speeds. It's extremely nimble at normal speeds, but in the pattern, you need to keep up more speed that you'd expect to survive a tight-ish turn. Otherwise, you'll suddenly find yourself in a stall without enough altitude to recover.
