The one I'm watching now is about saving Earth from the planet Mercury which is now on it's way to crashing into Earth....:isadizzy:
 
I kind of gave up on Syfy after Sharktopus and Dinoshark and the other one where either the dinoshark or sharktopus (I forget which)was fighting dinocroc the hundred foot+ submarine eating crocodile.

Which were on all day yesterday....:blind::isadizzy::sleep: Again...for the who knows how many times?
 
Yes they are bad, SyFy may have invented the "C" movie. But look at the bright side, these made for SyFy movies provide work for old actors that are past their prime as well as kids that wannabe actors.
 
It's still better than "Honey Boo Boo and House Wives of (you pick which ones)!"

Yeah, Dean Cain had to get income from somewhere.....Since THE LOVE BOAT and FANTASY ISLAND went off the air, the older actors really didn't have
a place to go except for the odd "hit" series like Golden Girls, etc....TV LAND is also showcasing older talent on new series as well. Some of them do
have their good moments.

Every now and then SyFy will hit a good mark, but you have to separate the wheat from the chaff just like any other station.
 
"Defiance" is pretty good for a SciFi channel movie. One I recommend is "Borealis". It was on Canadian TV but was canceled after the pilot. A good scifi movie is "Cargo." It's from England, I believe. Another that I consider borderline mystery and borderline scifi is "Orphanblack". And since I like both mysteries and science fiction, I'm totally enjoying it. The scifi channel is desparate for programing if it has to host wrestling. Anyone remember "Dog Soldiers'? I think that was their last good movie. Most US television has become lousy, in my opinion.
