i live close to the fairgrounds in my town, which is also close to downtown and everything else,,,,had a nice flight of several T-6s,T-28s and a T-34 flew over sveral times, just now....

Apart from the usual general aviation crowd (three GA airfields close) and occasional gliders (they stay closer to the fields mostly so not as much over town) I am always - it happened with the last two places I lived before, too - in the fortunate position to see the flypasts of the HB-Hoy Junkers Ju52 on it´s summer rounds. This sound is so soothing...:jump:

Lots of Airbusses, Boeings, an occasional MD11, several Embraers, but I think that is quite normal when you live close to one of the largest airports from Europe.... :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: . As I live near the coast I regular see the DC-3 from the Dutch Dakota association, as this is one of the most common routes they take.

Cheers,
Huub

looking to the skies over my apt you'd likely see lots of dash 8s, and cessnas, a few floaties, and the occasional airliner.

I live in a relatively small town. 30k plus. We have a few flying schools and dash 8's and A320's ferrying in and out. However, over the last 12 months or so, we're getting RAAF C-17s buzzing through town. (I'm guessing using the air field for short landing practice or something.

Stands out like dawg's ballz in our air space. I was actually lucky enough to be in the air last time they were in town and to watch them come in. :wavey:

Other than the usual there was one T-6 flying today. It is the sole CAF plane in this region. It was not part of any presentation today (at least that I heard about).
