'Taj Mahal'

i once got my son the lego castle, with the guard hose and the castle walls and a bunch of other medievel knight sorta stuff. it was a bigger kit than anything i had ever seen, back then.
i stayed up till 4 in the mornin assembling all that stuff to display under the tree. in case you don't know, stuff like this is, for some reason built almost entirely from those legos that are tiny and only have 2 bumps on them. well, like any other kid, he came into my bedroom at about 7 am, and jumped right on my head screaming "DAD SANTA CLAUSE CAME LAST NIGHT AND THERE'S A WHOLE BUNCH OF STUFF OUT IN THE LIVING ROOM YOU GOTTA COME LOOK RIGHT NOW! C'MON! C'MON!YOU GOTTA GET UP!!! CAN I GO OUT THERE?!!?? HEY MOM WAKE UP!!! SANTA CLAUSE WAS HERE!! all this while sitting on my chest with his face about 3" from mine. i stumbled out to the living room and we did the present thing where you read the tags to see who gets what. we took a bunch of pictures that no one can find anymore.

i never saw any of those legos in a shape that even remotely resembled a castle ever again.
most of them found my bare feet, in the dark, on the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. prolly the best christmas i ever had

The antenna on my avatar perked up and was thinking of the great bluesman as you all were :)

Legos are great too, many times the loud sound of legos shifting around while I was trying to find a particular peice could be heard from my room when I was a kid.

As a LEGO employee, all I can say is that my store has been sold out of the Taj Mahal months before this article came out and we get about 10 questions a day about orderng it for people.

I haven't really noticed any increase in sells of this set in my store.
