Team SDB USS Enterprise for FS 2004

Carl Edwards marketed his rendition of the USS Enterprise for FS2004 through Alphasim (now Virtavia) beginning in 2005. It was available for only a couple of years but thanks to Carl's generous offer of the source files to Team SDB Scenery it is now available again here. http://www.fspilotshop.com/product_i...oducts_id=3809

If you already have the Alphasim Enterprise please do not re-purchase as this version is exactly the same just re-branded.

Thanks Carl (have the Alphasim one). If you don't have the Enterprise, pick it up. It is even cheaper now than when Alphasim sold it if I remember correctly.

What are the updates by Robert Baum and how can I get them?

I bought the FSX version of the Enterprise yesterday and I can assure you Nav Air fans this will be money well spent. Beautiful detail throughout, and the carrier launch & recovery experience is so much more enjoyable when you have airplanes and equipment on deck.

I have the original AlphaSim ones and really like them. I'm looking forward to the new Vietnam era version.

Just to clarify something, we made no visual changes to the FS9 version other than aircraft texture updates and night textures for the tow/firetrucks. The FSX version is completely rebuilt along the detail lines of Sylvain Parouty's Clemenceau.

If you want to preview the user manual for the FS9 version you can get it here: CVN-65_Manual_FS9

Sorry Frank, I mis-spoke (as the politicians always say)! :redf:
Still a very nice piece of work even without the FSX re-build treatment, and worth the $24 price tag.

I read this in another forum:

"Carl Edwards marketed his rendition of the USS Enterprise for FS2004 through Alphasim (now Virtavia) beginning in 2005. It was available for only a couple of years but thanks to Carl's generous offer of the source files to Team SDB Scenery it is now available again. We have combined the updates by Robert Baum not used by Alphasim to make it even better for FS2004 users." (emphasis theirs)

As an owner of the original AlphaSim version I'm curious as to what the Robert Baum updates are and if they are available anywhere.

EDIT: maybe fsafranek provided the answer to the first part of my question "Just to clarify something, we made no visual changes to the FS9 version other than aircraft texture updates and night textures for the tow/firetrucks", so is this update available for those of us with the older version?

I asked that same question so don't hold your breath for a response...

Will take a stab that Robert (aka Gypsy Baron?) may have added some freeware AI aircraft, flight plans and AFCADs. Should be found at avsim etc.
