i7 975 extreme edition, asus rampage II extreme, corsair dominator gt - 6gb ddr3 2000, noctua nh-u12p se1366, wd velociraptor 300 , 2 wd 150 raptors, coolmaster haf 932. evga gtx275 superclocked and a 950 watt ps

I got the 64-bit Ultimate edition, but that's just because they didn't have any pro discs in stock where I bought it. 64-bit is the most important part, for the additional memory addressing it allows. FSX doesn't run any faster at 64 bits, but having much more addressable memory means having more overhead for the OS and other apps while running FSX.

my opnion.. is the
32/64 Win 7 Home is good for lappys mostly..

and the Pro 64 is good for a Rig.. being that 32 limutes you to 3.0 GB tops and yah i have seen usage on my 4 GB as hight as 2.5 before.. thats not much breathing room for growth later on.

so Get Pro 64 better bang for your buck

64-bit. Since upgrading to Windows 7/64, I'm seeing noticeably smoother performance in FSX than 32-bit XP.

I am asking myself the same. Currently I have the 64 bit evaluation copy and found that some of my addons are not compatible to Win7 64. But I think when the evaluation period expires, I will go for the 64 bit version anyway to be able to make use of my memory.

Much Thanks - 7 64 it will be - still waiting for the Coolmaster to arrive and I got a 150 raptor sent instead of a 300, so I am returning that and will wait - since I was billed for a 300-:ernae:

You get both32 and 64bit disks in the package, install the 64bit, if it won't work, it will tell you during installation.
