Terrain Mesh ?

I am looking for some good Terrain Mesh for FSX. I am on a very tight budget so Payware is out of the question. Any suggestions

Good, you will do them a favour if you use the torrent download method, which costs
them nothing.
You can find the torrents at the Avsim link and I found them to be just as fast as a direct download
would be.

I'd advise to use some download manager. I tried to download those files without any - no success.

What are you supposed to do with the torrent files?

I clicked the torrent link and got a 30kb "torrent" file that my computer doesn't know how to open.

use Freedownload manger here, it integrtes with browser and will downlaod torrent files as well.

OK, I downloaded it and got 3,5 GB of scenery (no textures). Installed it, first in scenery/Eure/scenery and then in scenery/world/scenery.

Any difference in landscape ? Nope.

Do I need new glasses? Did I put it in a wrong folder?

Suggestions welcome.....

Some places, like the CONUS, already have 38m mesh, so you will hardly see a difference there. The rest of the world, however, will vastly be improved. See here: http://ninetwopro.com/freemeshx/

Should you find the necessary shekels, payware scenery is often at 10m resolution. Worth paying for.
