We've got a new scenery file up at wildfirepilot.com

Fire crews in Lillooet have just finished a helipad training course and you've been asked to assess their work from a helicopter pilots perspective. Take it slow, these pads have never been landed on before.

I love Lillooet!! spend many day's out there on the river, Cherise creek Glacier cabin, and down in lytton. So taking this opportunity to go back!

ooohhh! There's nasty with Active Sky Advanced and a gale howling down the valley.

I really must dig out my old round tuit and have a go at that. Looks really, really challenging! Thanks. Those pads look excellent!

Hey Shawn, great stuff brother, have to check this out, should be a challenge! :applause::applause::applause:

Great ...Looks to be mucho fun...

Thanks for sharing it with us here....:applause:

Thanks Guys, I appreciate the comments. Someone in a different forum has tried this file in FS9 and can't seem to see the helipads? I never did test this file in FS9 so it just might not be compatable but I was hoping someone would confirm that they installed this and have actually seen the helipads in FSX.

Great sceneries:applause:. I especially like that Tanker Base scenery... I'll go check if I can spot some of those helipads.

Not at all easy....my hat's off to you cats...:icon29:

Thanks Shawn, great job....:applause:

I have installed everything as per the readme but I do not see the helopads. Are they on the hillside nearest the runway?

lawdawg, that rescue paint comes with the default Jetranger in FSX, i've never seen it for the Dodo. Thanks Pointy, is that helipad one that comes in the "Helipad Training" scenery or did you place it yourself.

ryanbatc - the helipads are on the hillside right in behind the apron, if your at the fueling station facing the hillside closest to the airport your looking right at them, The furthest ones at 1/3 of the way up the hill in a group of 3-4, the closest ones are on the flats 1/4 of the way to the base of the hills. Only problem is there hard to see, even with the timber lying on the ground they tend to blend in with the terrain.

Thanks bushpilot - that paint you got on the Dromadar is cool, could you post a link to download it?

Great stuff Shawn, off to check it out.

As for the pads working in FS9, my experience has been that if a landable surface was created for FS9, it usually doesn't work in FSX, so I would think it would be the same in reverse, probably depends on how it was compiled.

Thanks bushpilot - that paint you got on the Dromadar is cool, could you post a link to download it?

It's my own paint, "semiphotoreal", it can be downloaded from aussiex.org, but it comes with Aussie registration. I just quickly reedited the paint to have a C-reg. It also includes my hi-res VC-mod:mixedsmi:.
