Textures won't show

After about ten minutes of flight when I switch from vc to exterior view, the aircraft textures will not show. All I get is a grey plane and vc textures will not show either. Sometimes half the plane will show and the rest is grey. It's very strange. I did a complete reload of FSX, but the problem still exists. Any ideas?

What kind of graphics card do you have?

Sounds like you could be overloading it. It happened on my laptop occasionally.

Yeah, it's a graphics issue. I occasionally get this with port-overs when I'm using 32-bit bitmaps.
Cycling the view usually persuades the card to start playing again.

You could dial down the aircraft display quality a touch in 'Settings' to see if that helps.

It also can be your ram is tapped out.... Filled...Out of avaible space

Thanks for the advice. I've tried changing things with no effect on the problem. I may have a hardware problem...maybe one of my video cards is having troubles. I'll post when I get it fixed.

This has happened to a few people.

IF on Vista: Turn off DX10 Preview and set Anti aliasing with Anisotropic checked (wrong spelling)

On XP: just set it to Anti-Aliasing Anisotropic

As said before it could be due to port over from Fs9 try dxtbmp to reformat the files.

IF that does not work, you will be forced to do a Full un-install Reinstall as something has degraded. Mine did this to the point of invisibility, and a re-install was the only fix.

Setting Anti-Aliasing & Anisotropic seems to to have fixed the problem. I've been flying for over an hour with the settings you suggested and the problem has not come back.
Thanks much for the help.:applause:
