• We have to do a little server maintenance that will take the forums off line for an about 2-3 hours. Right now we are planning for Sunday night 9:00 PM May 25

Thanks again Jan

This paint is for the updated Bad Duck here at SOH. Jan had posted some WIP shots when the bird first came out. I wasn't able to find it anywhere so PM'ed Jan. It was never finished to Jan's standard so had never been uploaded anywhere but Jan sent me a link to download the "unfinished" work. I think it looks great as is, but I won't share the link without Jan's OK

[scratching head] where is the "subscribe" button for this thread?:wavey:

That is very pretty Duck.

The only part i see that doesn't look done is the green panel on the left side. Missing texture?

Is there a material issue with the cockpit glass? The backfacing glass parts are unusually bright.

Cheers,
Mark

Thanks JanKees.......

The name JanKees is a common name in the Netherlands. Actually when New York was still Dutch and called New Amsterdam there were many Dutch people living there who were named either Jan or Kees or like JanKees... JanKees.

Therefore the Dutch population was called Yankees by the British. So this is why New Yorkers are still called Yankees!

Cheers,
Huub

For those who want to attempt to understand the difference between Holland, the Netherlands and Dutch......... (Its actually one country... the Netherlands)

Was born and raised in Manhattan - third-generation New Yorker - lived there for 47 years - and never knew that!

Just one more reason to love the SOH community.

Many thanks!

PS - from a baseball perspective, I was never a fan of the Yankees. But am happy to root for the JanKees...

My most profound apologies to Jankees, I was not aware of this and I absolutely meant no disrespect
