It reminds me that I am still part of this community and have been a little absent lately. My only good excuse is that I have been trying to do some flying in my new Spanish Civil War install.
I have also slowly been gathering data for an Me109 campaign I'd like to do someday. I'd like to build a campaign that would amount to a series of random missions that takes one through the development of this ubiquitous aircraft starting with the first A prototype (V-4) all the way through to the experimental z model. The one skill I still need in order to complete this is airfile development/modification because the whole purpose of the campaign would be to experience the changes in performance as time went by. That being the case, I can't just download my favorite representation of a model and put it into the sequence because not every representation of, say, an me109g performs just like another. It will take some tweaking to make sure the pilot experiences the changes in performance as he moves from one model to the next. I first started working with AirWrench to develop a proper 109b-1 but have found that it will likely take multiple airfile utilities to do this right. Anyway, that's my dream. It might even get done someday!
