Thanks for you knowledgebase post, Majormagee. :applause: These sort of posts are invaluable, even if people have to individualise the settings slightly to suit their own PCs...

I hope it can both improve the CFS3 experience for someone, and save them time in getting to the root of their specific problem with things like shimmering or micro-stuttering.

In my case it started with shimmering that was driving me to distraction. I had always tried to optimize for more and more FPS, and didn't really know how little it really mattered to the experience. Obviously there is a minimum acceptable rate for good game play (>30-40 fps), but beyond that it's all about making it look as good as possible. Once I cleared up the shimmering then the micro-stuttering became more noticeable, and on and on it goes if you're not careful...
