That had to be painful!

Could have been worse. I didn't realized thee was only on flyable Hurricane left???? I though I had seen a picture of one flying here in the U.S.???

theres more than one hurri flying, however they not the bomber varients, its a classic case of the media not knowing their own sodding history or indeed anything!!! :kilroy:

Only one IIB bomber! It's a case of regurgitation. i only picked this one as it had a decent picture of what had happened.

There are about a dozen or so airworthy Hurris in the world today. Most put there by on e company here in the UK!

Fortunately it appears the damage was minimal. Shouldn't cost 1.5 mil to fix it. :woot:

and i was afraid i would get to read another crash and burn story.

Need a new Prop and a complete engine and gear overhaul.

But the airframe should be sane...

and the Pilot and his skills still in good shape too.
:rapture:

Sounds like the brakes were real good..... too good. ;) The pilot must have gotten on them a bit too hard to get a tail dragger over on it's nose like that. Like was said in the comments.... I wonder if the parking brake was still on when he touched down.

Yep, more than one flying..... we've had one at MAAM's annual WII Weekend. And it wasn't from the UK either.
