( must be if you go fast enough the propellor Will turn) He'd fly directly over the balloon at such a height they couldn't hear him approach the area. When over them he'd switch off his engine, and Dive silently at the balloon. At roughly 700 feet above the balloon he'd start shooting, and restart his engine. However the machine guns on the ground couldn't fire at him, because the balloon was in the way. Once ( IF ) his engine restarted, he flew away, already at top speed.
Apparently he was pretty good at it, never heard of anyone else trying it that way.
Not surprizing . . . scares me, just thinking about it !
