:applause:Installing 2 HD has given me a lot of wiggle room to run programs.They are controlled by OSL2000. #1 is XP Pro: I have all of my basic stuff on it. Why would I do that? I have Outlook Express for e-mail and cfs3 installed, plus all of my other programs.#2: because I have a Zalman monitor, I can not run 3D in xp, so I installed win7. I only have fsX installed on this hd drive.Now I can run that program in 3d and it works really well.I bought win7 when it 1st came out really cheap. OEM is the way to go.The only problem was there was over 97m of updates.
I had a small hd from another computer. Formated it and installed win7.

Good choice Ed, I built my rig last year with two HDs so I could run XP and Win7 (when it came out) on separate drives. Nowadays I'm moving over almost entirely to Win 7 64-bit.

I installed XP first, so when I installed Win7 it detected XP on the other drive and automatically set up a dual-boot arrangement. No third-party software needed, it uses a feature of Windows called BCD (Boot Configuration Data).

There are other utilities to edit the BCD if you fancy this, one I have used and would recommend is EasyBCD:- http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1 Oh, and it's free too!
