The big Damian Radice remembrance screenshot thread..

As you may have read in the Newshawks, we recently lost Damian 'Windrunner' Radice: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?55415-Damian-(aka-Windrunner)

He was definitely one of my favourite texture artists, with a very distinct style. Just at Flightsim.com I found almost twohundred repaints/files with his name on it!

Please post your personal favourites here.

Thank you for all you have done, Damian; we will miss you dearly.

This is heartbreaking news!

Damian was one of the very nicest people I've met in nearly a decade in FlightSim.

I hope his family has some idea of how many friends he made all over the world through this hobby, and how highly regarded he was.

He was one of the most talented painters in the hobby, and a true gentleman.

He will be sorely missed.

I can't take a screenie to post here because I don't have a functional installation of FS on my computer, but I have dozens, possibly hundreds of Damian's repaints in my hangar. More important, I have some good memories of our communication via forums and e-mail over the years.

Our hobby has suffered a grievous loss.

Just for clarification, the original packaged Howard 500 paint scheme in Ferry's post is from Joáo Paz, an extraordinary texture.

Damian, although not on the team at the time, contributed at least 7 to 10 paint schemes, all of which are available at major sites.

Here are two of them.

I've been in this thread umpteen times, started a post about 4 times. Words always fail me, it's always hard to know what to say.

So I wont say anything, I'll bow my head and have a couple minutes reflection and a prayer for those he left behind.

:salute:
Jamie

This is one he did for me, just because I asked. Dad flew this one after his first one crashed. He never learned who Mary Ann was. Damian did it from some photos, right down to the repair area left side below the cockpit.
