The DREAM MACHINE

The latest book I'm reading is called The DREAM MACHINE, the Untold History of the Notorious V-22 Osprey by Richard Whittle. Very fascinating read about the history, politics and technology of building a tiltrotor.

Anyways, I was wondering what tiltrotors are available for FS9. Aside from the AlphaSim V-22 and the Wilco BA 609, I haven't seen any more. :monkies:

Anybody know of other tiltrotors for the sim??

Thanks :ernae:

Bell-Boeing V22-Osprey by Vlad Zhyhulskiy, modified by Rob Barendregt for true VTOL, further modified by Brian Sharpe for better and more realistic handling and performance.

LTV-Ryan XC-142 by Richard Alexander van Hien, v2.0 modified by Brian Sharpe.

Both available at AvSim.

In both cases there are modified versions that followed the original releases.

The XC-142 wasn't strictly a tilt rotor, since it tilted the whole wing along with the prop/rotors, but it was still pretty cool.

FS2002/FS2004 Bell Eagle Eye UAV. The Bell Eagle Eye is a tiltrotor unmanned aerial vehicle which will enter service in the U.S. Coast Guard as part of Project Deepwater. It may also enter service with the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps. Two kinds of paint examples (Coast Guard and Navy / Marines) are included. By Kazunori Ito.

Flightsim.com, needs a little work but flies pretty decent as is.

Thanks for the responses.

In looking at the V22-Osprey by Vlad Zhyhulskiy and the XC-142 by Richard Alexander van Hien, it appears that neither have a VC. Am I correct?

I did come across a Bell X-22A by Kazunori Ito I'm going to try out. Seems promising.
