• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

The Fighting Lady (1944) full length movie

Not sure if there is another movie in existence that shows as much actual gun cam footage from the PTO Shadow.

The Airboyd video is just about the best quality print of the movie that I've seen, aside from the VHS version I got from the Yorktown Museum some years ago. Bought it on DVD and it was dark and color was off.

If you look at many of the the color films that were exposed during those years you will find that characteristic on them all. dark and color off. Remember the film generally in use then was black & white and color was in its' relatively infancy.
 
If I remember correctly there was an effort made years ago to add color to many of these older movies (many from WWII combat films to add, for the most part, lightening of the older takes if you will). Adding color was a definite plus. I've seen the original too many, many years ago while in the military during one of the Friday night showings for duty sections stuck on base I believe...and you are right Fibber, B&W was all they had.
