:salute:
For those of you who do not know it, the Ford Project Team has a great website full of treasures. Its chief makers are Edward C. Moore and Garry J. Smith, and they have both done outstanding work. The site features sceneries in various parts of the world that are populated with Ford Trimotor AI aircraft, expertly painted by Garry Smith. I have already installed a couple of the sceneries and their AI plus two basic files one has to install, and I can tell you they are delightful and that the repaints are fantastic. It seems as if the AI Trimotors are the same model as the fs9 default one, though I am not yet certain of that. One can also fly the AI aircraft but they need a panel and a sound to be added to them.
I strongly advise you to visit the project Ford site at:
http://www.ford-tri-motor.net/coming-soon.htm and navigate in it and you will be stunned at the rich content.
My thanks and gratitude to both chief contributors, Edward and Garry.

I installed the Egypt scenery, which is an airfield right next to the Pyramids, with the Sphinx monument also included. The reason I chose the Egypt scenery to install first is because of my current infatuation with the Bristol Bombay 1936 British bomber, of which I am making a few repaints. That is the old William Dickens cfs2 model, but it flies in FS9 and FSX without any problems, if one arranges for a new panel and a sound.
See my relevant Bombay post here--it will explain my fascination with the aircraft.

However, I have downloaded most of the other sceneries from the Ford project site and will install them one by one eventually. I am going to England on Saturday the 25th for 9 days, leaving sunny and hot Greece for the cold and rain to cool off and visit a friend. I will certainly introduce my friend Barrie to this scenery and will install it for him. Barrie Larke is his name and he has a wonderful little scenery you can download that depicts a small--now disused airfield--near his home in Shropshire.
The screenshots show my Bombay repaint ("The Bombay Baboon", heavily sooted and oil-stained) and the Egypt scenery. The Sphinx is visible at left in one screenshot.
I apologize for rambling so long about this site and its sceneries, by I am a writer by profession and long habit and enjoy writing rather lengthy texts. I believe, like most writers, that the better the writing, the more convincing it is.
Best Regards,
Nick from Athens, Greece
P.S. For some reason my link to the Bombay historic flight does not work. If you google with "Historic Simulation of of Bombay Flight" you will get to it, however....
