Well can't get P3 to load up. I mean the manager does, but won't launch game when I want to fly keep getting configoverride error or something or other. I plan to reinstall P3 but need to delete the whole install. Correct me if I'm wrong, I need to erase the OFF folders from program files, my documents and hidden application data in documents and settings? Are there any more folders I need to erase for this? I fear I may even have to go as far as reinstalling CFS3 but lets hope that not necessary. Any help will be appreciated.

Cheers,

John

John, first did you run CFS3Config? Did it run when you finished install? If not workshops, cfsconfig

see FAQ on our website (install/config info near the top).

Thanks for the replies guys. By running the cfsconfig the way polovski stated I managed to to get the game to launch. Only problem is that I flew two missions, and both times when it came time for the mission to end, the game crashes and I'm back in the OFF manager with no credit no nothing, like I never flew the mission. I may just go ahead and reinstall and see what is happening, unless someone has any ideas. This is not a game problem for sure just something goofy going on with my system. The game play is spectacular.

Thanks,

John

John please make sure any AV you have allows both CFS3 and OFF exes to run.

Hi John
I've been having same crash problem on and off for awhile now. Seems it has something to do with our systems.I suggest we compare our cpecs and see if we have something in common...Mine is

WinXP pro SP2
AMD Athlon X2 6000
ASUS M2A VM mobo
DDR2-667 Kingston 4 GIG
Nvidia gtx 260

Anyone with the same problem please post your specs too

Check firewall too for any blocking off offmanager or cfs3.exe interaction. Some firewalls explicitly stop apps or components calling others.
Try unplug from net, disable firewall temporarily, try again.

arjdsm you are talking of BHaH yes?

Odd thing is P2 never did any of this. I'm just going to do a fresh install, it's really not that big of a deal time wise. Are the 3 areas I mentioned in the first post the only three folders I have to delete for a full uninstall?

Thanks,

John

Hi there

Why not use the Uninstaller? (new with P3)

It can be found next to OFF in the Start Menu. You can also uninstall using Add Remove Programs in the Control Panel.

The uninstaller will remove program files and registry entries. It will not remove your personal settings.
